Establishment of Hopi High School Video Production Program
We are working with the Hopi High School to establish a video production program. The tribe needs such a program to teach their young tribal members how to document the various ceremonies which are quickly being lost. The young people need to learn about photography & videography, lighting, audio for field recording as well as audio for studio recording, script writing, storyboarding, editing, graphic arts, DVD authoring, as well as the business of distribution of documentary materials.

We need individuals or corporations to donate:

1. Four or Five digital cameras, (preferably HD). Approximate cost: 3 to 5 thousand each
2. Two or three editing system, (AVID, Final Cut, or Adobe Premier) Approximate cost: 3 to 4 thousand each
3. Two or three location lighting kits. (Lowell type kits) Approximate cost 1 thousand each
4. Two or three graphics systems, (Adobe Creative Suite 3, 3DStudio Max) Approximate cost 2 thousand each
5. Four or five tripods with fluid heads, (Sachler, Bogan, Cartoni etc) Approximate cost 2 thousand each
6. Field audio equiment; i.e. wireless microphones, field mixers, shotgun microphones, boom poles & windscreens, mic cables, head phones
7. Studio audion equipment; i.e. mixing board, sudio mics, mic stands, cables, head phones
