Last year when we went down for the Christmas trip, we started asking the Hopi what they really needed and from that we generated our list that you can find under the "donations" tab in the "volunteering" section of the website. One of the items that surprised us was the need for used tires. There are no tire shops on the Hopi Reservation and the people have to travel over a hundred miles to buy them new. One tire shop owner in Salt Lake saved up his used but still usable tires and brought them down to the rez. The people were delighted to have them and they began to pour through them immediately to see if we had delivered the right size for their vehicle.
